invitation

i designed my own wedding and reception invitations. i felt that my love for versailles could shine through in a clean, modern way. I love simplistic but I tried to add a bit of detail.

invitations

as far as photos go, my house has no natural lighting whatsoever. it's a dark old house. i'll be married september the 8th though and be living in our new apartment on the 16th. we absolutely adore it and although it has some flaws, they make it special.

speaking of which, I've been looking into temporary wallpaper for our closet and a small section of our kitchen. i've heard that using a starch mix with fabric makes a lovely temporary wallpaper that wont damage walls. has anyone actually tried this? i really think it could make some wonderful looks available. if you have actually tried it, please let me see it!

the introductory speech

a digital designer finds that paper is a dear friend. oh my. the dabbling in magazine, print design (even car magnet and pen design!), company branding, oil painting and collage makes my life look like a book. it's so full of print & paper it probably appears as a dictionary or otherwise large, bulky book. you know, the book you tried with all of your might to remove from the shelf at a young age only to look up snicker-worthy words?

paper marché, hm? a digital blog full of paper and print? why not? i have realized with my ever-growing blog bookmarks that i could indeed take one foot outside the private livejournal world and have a blog for a passion of mine. a blog which is appropriate for all to read and to indulge in my world of paper & print.

also, if you have a blog related to any form of design be sure to let me know! i especially love décor blogs.
